When deciding upon the correct rug size, we make the following suggestions:
Leave 8 to 12 inches of exposed floor in your living room or family room.
In general, the proper way to display a rug is to have either half, or the the entire sofa
sitting on the rug. The size of a rug should be large enough
to extend near ( 8 to 12 inches) from a fire place or entertainment center so that
it becomes part of the living area, making the rug practical for everyday use.
For a dining room, we recommend 6' x 9' rugs for a four seat table, 8’ x 10’ rug for
a six dining table, 9’ x 12’ for an eight seat table, and 10’ x 14', or larger for
tables with ten or more seats. Feel free to call 1-877-300-8585 for our professional suggestion.
For long narrow hallways we sell runners that are generally about 2 feet wide
and 6- - 14' long. We also have wide runners for wider hallways
For a main entrance, if the space is square, we recommend: rounds.
Approximately 3' x 5' or 4' x 6' for a single door and 5' x 8' for a double door
entrance way. If you call us with approximate measurements, we will gladly
suggest the correct size rug for your unique space.
Average size rugs (5' x 8', or 6’ x 9’ may be used to accent any area of your home.
